Frequently Asked Questions

Planning your visit

A few things worth knowing.

Answers about booking and preparing your property. For questions about a particular type of scaffolding, explore our services. For anything specific to your site, speak to the team.

We’re based in Haverhill and work across Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex, including Cambridge, Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury. If your location is outside these towns, contact us with the postcode so we can confirm whether we can help.

Contact us as soon as you have a likely start date. Availability depends on our existing commitments and the work involved, so there isn’t one lead time that applies to every job. If your dates are flexible, let us know when you enquire.

Please confirm the booking and installation date directly with us. A quotation on its own should not be treated as a reserved slot. Make sure the agreed date is clear before arranging for other trades to start.

Discuss this with us before installation day. We’ll need agreed access to the work area and a contact who can answer any questions about the property. If you won’t be there, tell us who will provide access and how they can be reached.

Tell us about parking restrictions, shared drives and places where a vehicle cannot stop. Access for the delivery vehicle and space to unload need to be considered in advance. Please check the arrangements with us before reserving or clearing a space.

Ask us which areas need to be clear before we arrive. Move portable belongings from the agreed work area where you can, and point out anything that cannot be moved. Photographs of planted borders or items close to the building can help us discuss the arrangements.

There will be some noise while equipment is unloaded, assembled and taken down. Let us know about any working-hour restrictions or particularly sensitive times at the property, so these can be discussed when the visit is arranged.

Scaffold positions can affect how far some windows open, and equipment in front of a satellite dish may obstruct its signal. Point out opening windows, dishes and other wall-mounted equipment before installation so we can discuss them as part of the layout.

Let us know if pets normally use the garden, driveway or other work area. Arrange a separate place for them while the team is unloading and working, and agree how gates and doors will be managed. This is especially useful where equipment must be carried through a shared access route.

This enquiry is for scaffolding access. Arrange the building, repair or decorating work with the appropriate trade, and make sure their scope is agreed separately. If you’re unsure who is responsible for a particular part of the job, ask before booking.
